You know the saying, “Seeing is believing.” To our natural senses that may be true but not to our spiritual senses. As the late evangelist Oswald Chambers once said, “Seeing is never believing. We interpret what we see in the light of what we believe.” For instance, if you believe in a God of miracles, you’re likely to interpret an inexplicable healing as an act of God’s grace rather than look for a scientific explanation. The apostle Thomas is a classic case of someone who followed the adage “seeing is believing” because he refused to believe in the Lord’s resurrection until he saw Him for himself (John 20:27-29). Don’t have an unbelieving heart (Hebrews 3:12). The more you believe, the more your faith will increase.
